Thank you for supporting the Bainbridge Island Instrumental Music Education Boosters, (AKA Band Boosters)who support band programs at Bainbridge High School, Woodward Middle School and Sakai Intermediate School. The Band Boosters is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides volunteers, financial support and many service for 400 students enrolled in instrumental music education in grades 6 through 12.

The Band Boosters provide the following services and activities; Clinicians to coach band students before they participate in regional and state music competitions. We purchase new instruments and pay for repairs - in the past three years, the Boosters have purchased more than $30,000 of musical instruments. We procure all the equipment and supplies for the BHS Marching Band to include; show banners, props, storage equipment. The boosters maintain a large inventory of 25-year-old vintage marching band uniforms because we do not have the funds to replace them. We recently incorporated the middle schools as part of the Band Boosters to ensure students have instrumental music support. Our volunteers provide administrative and logistical support to give band directors more time teaching students and every year the Boosters award 2 -4 scholarships to graduating band seniors.
